Ashamed of fellow 'supporters'
I think some people have hit a new low. For once I agreed with Shearer and Hansen on MOTD last night, it is certainly counter productive to boo one's own players. Some 'supporters' are very little people, they seem to want to whinge and moan whatever the circumstances, nothing is ever good enough for them, it is their human right to see arsenal win by a cricket score otherwise they will throw all their toys out their little pram. This is not only arrogant and naive, but it's also deeply disrespectful to our premiership opponents. Other sensible Gooners have deconstructed the behaviour of our resident Arsenal morons very neatly, see Arsenal-mania, the Gooner Forum, the Online Gooner, Arsenal Vision and Gunnerblog for more. Once again those who condone this kind of pathetic behaviour will reveal themselves as the small men that we know them to be.
It's no surprise that this kind of 'supporter' shows no respect to certain Arsenal players or even the manager at times. Emmanuel Eboue is a decent footballer, he's definitely a good right back, maybe he's only an average midfielder at best, and I know he's had his attitude problems over recent seasons, however there's never been a lack of effort on his part. Before yesterday's game he had been out injured for several weeks, he came on early in the game for the injured Nasri, yet again out of position, and had a awful game, who's to know what was going on inside his head in the second half, the boos certainly didn't help. What he did not deserve is the abuse he got from certain 'supporters', when I watch the video I feel ashamed, I wonder if these morons could explain themselves?

Last night for the first time in decades, I was ashamed of being an Arsenal fan. Even the co-commentator (whos comments during the course of the game were so anti-arsenal, I thought he was sp*rs fan) felt it was disgusting. Its such a shame really. Black day for Arsenal FC
i completely agree that no-one should have booed Eboue. But that is what you get at the Emirates these days.
However, there is an underlying point, and that is Eboue 100% lost the plot in the second half yesterday. Even AW said on the radio afterwards that he had become a "danger to the team".
When I saw Silvestre taking his top off, there was a clamour for him to replace Eboue. When the substitute board flashed up "27" there was a loud cheer from the ground, slightly ironic perhaps, but also to applaud Wenger. Eboue had to go off and for once, Wenger had made the difficult decision and took him off. I happily joined in that initial cheer. Wenger has made two hard decisions recently: stripping Gallas of the captaincy, and now putting Eboue through this gauntlet.
The boos that followed. however, were a disgrace. I have been a staunch supporter of Eboue over the years and have regularly lauded his abilities. He might have lost the plot in the second half, but some of his passing before that was excellent.
But I have no idea why he went walk-about second half. He played about 20 minutes as a support striker, turned up on the right wing to pass it into touch, then started passing to Wigan, and eventually tackled a clearly furious Kolo Toure.
Many people, including 1979, have pointed out that Eboue does not have a good footballing "brain". However, what little common sense he does possess went straight out the window yesterday.
I therefore have a small amount of understanding for those that did boo Eboue. I don't in any way condone it, but i think i understand why they did it. Its because they are as stupid as Eboue himself.
I am also willing to bet that the "25 year old" who is causing problems in the dressing room with Gallas was Eboue, not RVP.
Lastly, credit to Adebayor for putting his arm around Eboue as the boos rung out. Ade has suffered the abuse from the idiots as well. Eboue now has to be man enough to face his critics,put a good performance in or two, and win the crowd back.
The fans need to be man enough to give him a chance.

I can see why his substitution was cheered and making that point seems very reasonable,
however the booing is very different as you point out,
there are ways of doing things and there are ways of not..
WHY NOT START A POST WHERE TRUE GOONERS CAN SEND A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT TO EBOUE AND LET HIM (AND JUST AS IMPORTANTLY THE OTHER PLAYERS) KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT ALL MINDLESS MORONS AND THAT WE DO ACTUALLY SUPPORT THE TEAM. YOU COULD THEN PRINT IT OUT AND SEND TO THE CLUB WHO COULD PASS IT ON TO EBOUE. I WOULDN'T BLAME HIM, OR ANY OTHER PLAYERS, IF THEY NEVER FELT LIKE PLAYING FOR THE ARSENAL AGAIN IF IT MEANS BEING ABUSED BY THESE PRAWN SANDWICH MUNCHERS. I USED TO BE SO PROUD OF ARSENAL FANS COMPARED TO THE BEHAVIOUR OF OTHERS, BUT NOW LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING AT OUR GROUND. WE NEED TO REDEEM OURSELVES AND SENDING MESSAGES OF SUPPORT WOULD BE A GREAT WAY OF DOING THIS AND RESTORING CONFIDENCE. TRUE GOONERS NEED TO STAND UP AND TAKE BACK OUR CLUB.
