Well done Chelsea - UEFA's rent boys lose

I am no Chelsea fan but one has to see the positive in tonight's result that sees Barcelona go crashing out of the Champions League against all the odds.  It was just fantastic to see Barcelona's cheating not pay.

Many of us Gooners went on about the dodgy refereeing and Barcelona cheating which robbed us in last year's knockout stages, the same happened to Chelsea tonight.

Terry was harshly sent off in the first half, Sanchez made a meal of a tiny touch which should have been just a yellow.  Cesc dived for a dodgy penalty in the second half which Messi missed.  Barca again got away with some off the ball shoving.

Chelsea were rather lucky in the end, they rode their luck but they did defend magnificently overall.  They now have four players suspended for the final including Terry and Ramires.  I won't go as far as wishing them luck in the final, and knowing that the scumbag Terry won't be playing is rather amusing.

One has to enjoy Barcelona's pain, UEFA's little rent boys couldn't even beat Chelsea with the help of some rather favourable refereeing.

why would arsenal fans enjoy this. Think about implications for champions league places, if chelsea wins it all, we may have problems..

Terry harshly sent off? Since when has kneeing an opponent in the back, off the ball, not been a sending off?
I'm no defender of Barcelona, but let's call a spade a fecking shovel, that was as deserved a sending off as you're ever likely to see!

Ahh fuck the chavs I certainly do not want them being the first London club lifting that trophy

Definite red card for Terry. He got away with a shoulder block on Sanchez in the first game aswell. Dislike Barcelona, but if any team could be accused of cheating over the 2 legs, it was Chelsea.

Roman Abramovich does not deserve a Champions League Trophy for the way he has run that club.

how can arsenal fans be please that chelsea are through if they win the Champions League and we don't finsh in 3 place we won't get through next year

Barca cheats? Crap. They don't need to cheat. They thoroughly deserved to beat Arsenal every time they have played us in th elast few years.

When it comes to cheating that pig Drogba is Mr Universe. And if Chelsea win the CL and Arsenal come 4th, Arsenal won't qualify, which will make you look even more stupid.

Take my advice, stop blogging - you're not very good at it.

Glad that Fabregas is not winning La-liga and Champions League atleast this season but if Chelsea should eventually emerge as champion, it affect Arsenal's champions league place especially if we finish 4th which I don't pray for. And also Chelsea fans will be happy that they won champions league before Arsenal

I will give up football if the despicable chavs win the money league.But hey under Wenger we will never come close he couldnt have mastered such a tactical masterstroke in his dreams.

Am happy Chelsea was able to make it to final but that where they can stop i don't see them winning Bayern or Madrid. so they will not win it before Arsenal, we are already in 3th position Gunners for life.

LOL for Cesc the diver .....Somebody was looking over Chelsea tonight. How come AFC never have any good fortune at times like this?

Poor old FIFA failed to get their favourite team through, come on Bayern knock out Real madrid. But of course if that happens FIFA will change the rules of ifx the refs next season.From an Arsenal point of view I do hope Wenger noticed Chelsea is the sort of team we want not namby pamby pass pass- get nowhere- bore bore stuff like Barcelon tonight. So Mr Fabricast hasnt ewon any medals this week!

Excellent result, I am happy for Chelsea as a Arsenal fan for the following reasons;

- Barca influence refs and get decisions
- Barca fall over too easily
- Barca have always unsettled and lured Arsenal players: Overmars, Petit, Van Bronchorst, Henry, Hleb, Fabregas, etc.
- This result with the possibility that Chelski could win Champions league should give Arsenal the impetus to get the THIRD PLACE and not get complacent.

Viva Chelski from an Arsenal die hard

What kind of a post is this? You sound like a blinkered Chelski fan... Terry harshly sent off, Fabregas dived... are you serious? It sounds like Tim Lovejoy has stolen your blog password!

How is this good for Arsenal fans, now that 4th might not be good enough for CL qualification? A ridiculous post out of touch with most Gooner sentiment tonight, who were cheering on Barca.

can't say i'm displeased by the result, despite the fact it potentially means chelsea can win the champs league, which i sincerely hope they do not. but let's enjoy the fact that barca lost. terry's sending off was arguabky deserved, but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been given if it had been a barca player. but still great to see super-twat terry getting caught red-handed YET AGAIN as well! he will be doung jail time when next season starts. racists thug that he is.

AW has something to think about from this result and eat his own words - How the hell do they managed to pull through with 10 men? Well the answer is simple - never leave the school boys doing a man job.

Wenger for me should see that he should always have another playing pattern from that tip tap thing and see what he makes out of the style of chelsea play.

I think this result will only compound Chelsea's problems: an ageing group of players running the show. It will be impossible to get rid of them now. Even Torres with his goal might be kept on the books. Their next manager will face the same problems as AVB if he tries to build for the future. Terry will get even more cocky now.

Unlike a lot of the pillocks above, i, a true Gunner of 61 years support salute you Chelski men. Yes we have been robbed twice by Barca officials and yes so have Chelski. But they stood firm and pulled off a great result for the UK fans. I hate Chelski with the same venom as I detest the Spuds, but I recognise guts when I see it.
Sadly for them, I see RM or Bayern winning the final easily.

Personally if Arsenal can't win the trophy I certainly don't want another English side winning it. How a so called Arsenal fan can be pleased at a Chelsea win is beyond my comprehension. I admire the steel they displayed but I certainly wasn't pleased that they went through. By the way this is by far the worst Arsenal blog on the net. I only read it out of curiosity to see what sort of claptrap he comes up with next!! Cheating opponents, corrupt refs blah blah blah..zzzzzzz

Fortunately, as a non-Englishman I have no qualms about pointing out:

Chelsea =/= "England."
Manchester United =/= "England."
Liverpool =/= "England."
Manchester City =/= "England."
Tottenham sure as hell =/= "England!"

Both of my grandfathers, both of Eastern European descent with plenty of reasons to hate Germany well before Hitler came along, served in World War II, and I want the Krauts to beat the living hell out of the Chavs in the Final!

Welshgooner...you are no Arsenal fan mate...I have been a Gunner since 1950 and have suffered and dreamed along with the best. BUT always remember this sunshine 'we The Arsenal have always been known for our appreciation of the opposition not hatred as your generation would seem to want'

I want Chelski to lose the final and to finish second in the Fa cup and fith in the league but on that night, I admired them and still do.

So grow up and become a real AFC man!

GunnerPete dont lecture me mate on how I should be behaving as an Arsenal fan or saying I am no Arsenal fan. I've been travelling to Highbury since we had a front three of Niall Quinn, Perry Groves and Martin Hayes. I remember the pain of losing to York City in the FA cup and Walsall in the league cup. If you'd read my post properly you'd see that I admitted I admired the steel they displayed. I just don't want to join in the Chelsea love in that seems to be going around some Arsenal blogs. So try not to be so pompous next time and think before you write eh?
