a club divided can not stand, its about time arsenal fans unite and tell kroenke you don't invest, we don't hear from you,are best players leave season after season pack up and go, usmanov in and dein and un tie wengers hands and let the glory days return to the emirates, surely arsenal fans remember how good winning things felt, or are we just happy sitting in comfy chairs at the emirates every saturday...
Strange. He appears to be a lot more passionate about Arsenal than the old fossils like Peter Hill-Wood. What's he done to deserve the dismissive post?
I don't want Arsenal to follow the same path as Chelsea and Man City, but that's the way football is heading, so having an owner in charge worth over $16bn that wants success for Arsenal, is surely better than what we have now?
The way I see it, the fans hopes and expectations for the club will never be realised until the current board are removed and Red & White or an equivalent run the club.
How much were you paid to write the message? You are the few who haven't woken up. Kroenke was told buy Arsenal to make money and he is not interested to put any. Arsene has been diplomatically saying we have money when the right player becomes available. All money is paying the debt and going to Kroenke pockets. WAKE UP! otherwise more news about the true extent of the finances and how it is being distributed will come to light soon to wake you up.
Dein son is the urgent for RVP, so Red & white have more information than us through David Dein. RVP is not saying more because of the shock and embarassment it will cause us. WAKE UP!

1979gooner just look at the state of this country at the mo. The people who are in Gvt and the tossers who run the banks, I think you should get a grip. D Dein would be welcomed back with open arms by Wenger. Would you should do is stick that finger of yours up your Arsenal.
don't be delusional thinking arsenal is squeaky clean, we ain't, football is corrupt like any other sports, football is about cash, and you need to speculate to accumulate and we don't....
Football fans have very short memorys...or just selective ..when Usmanov first came on the scene please have a look at the outrage by most fans to this mans background and history...do we want investment irrespective of where it comes from...why not a South American drug baron they have loads of cash to launder
This certainly does not represent the view of all arsenal fans. the current board are hindering our ambition of becoming a dominant force in europe and the premier league. So long as they are in charge we'll remain in the dustbin of mediocrity
Don't know where your memory has gone but, David Dein, represents to me silverware, big name players and did I mention Title's?
That's what he was all about and he loves The Arsenal more than most and he now works for Red & White.
Therefore it's all about Usmanov now.
I have seen enough of this **** now. This isn't how Arsenal do things we dthe don't sell our best players season but we are to make the next man rich.
It's because you were all so anti Usmanov because you thought you were right at the time but you dam well know your wrong now all of you do. Best thing is to be a man an say you were wrong and stop being ignorant.
Alisher Usmanov has never been charged or found guilty of any criminal offence whatsoever and the stories reported by some divvys are ludicrous lies spouted off by his jealous competitors. I couldn't give a shit about our "financial model" I just want to get back to winning ways. Kroenke is milking the big Arsenal cash cow and half the mugs on here are happy with that. Shit blog, go to some games
"Alisher Usmanov, potential Arsenal chairman, is a Vicious Thug, Criminal, Racketeer, Heroin Trafficker and Accused Rapist by craig on September 2, 2007 9:56 am in Usmanov, Uzbekistan I thought I should make my views on Alisher Usmanov quite plain to you. You are unlikely to see much plain talking on Usmanov elsewhere in the media becuase he has already used his billions and his lawyers in a pre-emptive strike. They have written to all major UK newspapers, including the latter:
Mr Usmanov was imprisoned for various offences under the old Soviet regime. We wish to make it clear our client did not commit any of the offences with which he was charged. He was fully pardoned after President Mikhail Gorbachev took office. All references to these matters have now been expunged from police records . . . Mr Usmanov does not have any criminal record.
Let me make it quite clear that Alisher Usmanov is a criminal. He was in no sense a political prisoner, but a gangster and racketeer who rightly did six years in jail. The lawyers cunningly evoke “Gorbachev”, a name respected in the West, to make us think that justice prevailed. That is completely untrue.
Usmanov’s pardon was nothing to do with Gorbachev. It was achieved through the growing autonomy of another thug, President Karimov, at first President of the Uzbek Soviet Socilist Republic and from 1991 President of Uzbekistan. Karimov ordered the “Pardon” because of his alliance with Usmanov’s mentor, Uzbek mafia boss and major international heroin overlord Gafur Rakimov. Far from being on Gorbachev’s side, Karimov was one of the Politburo hardliners who had Gorbachev arrested in the attempted coup that was thwarted by Yeltsin standing on the tanks outside the White House........
Usmanov is just a criminal whose gangster connections with one of the World’s most corrupt regimes got him out of jail. He then plunged into the “privatisation” process at a time when gangster muscle was used to secure physical control of assets, and the alliance between the Russian Mafia and Russian security services was being formed.
Usmanov has two key alliances. he is very close indeed to President Karimov, and especially to his daughter Gulnara. It was Usmanov who engineered the 2005 diplomatic reversal in which the United States was kicked out of its airbase in Uzbekistan and Gazprom took over the country’s natural gas assets. Usmanov, as chairman of Gazprom Investholdings paid a bribe of $88 million to Gulnara Karimova to secure this. This is set out on page 366 of Murder in Samarkand.
Alisher Usmanov had risen to chair of Gazprom Investholdings because of his close personal friendship with Putin, He had accessed Putin through Putin’s long time secretary and now chef de cabinet, Piotr Jastrzebski. Usmanov and Jastrzebski were roommates at college. Gazprominvestholdings is the group that handles Gazproms interests outside Russia, Usmanov’s role is, in effect, to handle Gazprom’s bribery and sleaze on the international arena, and the use of gas supply cuts as a threat to uncooperative satellite states.
Gazprom has also been the tool which Putin has used to attack internal democracy and close down the independent media in Russia. Gazprom has bought out – with the owners having no choice – the only independent national TV station and numerous rgional TV stations, several radio stations and two formerly independent national newspapers. These have been changed into slavish adulation of Putin. Usmanov helped accomplish this through Gazprom. The major financial newspaper, Kommersant, he bought personally. He immediately replaced the editor-in-chief with a pro-Putin hack, and three months later the long-serving campaigning defence correspondent, Ivan Safronov, mysteriously fell to his death from a window.
All this, both on Gazprom and the journalist’s death, is set out in great detail here:
Usmanov is also dogged by the widespread belief in Uzbekistan that he was guilty of a particularly atrocious rape, which was covered up and the victim and others in the know disappeared. The sad thing is that this is not particularly remarkable. Rape by the powerful is an everyday hazard in Uzbekistan, again as outlined in Murder in Samarkand page 120. If anyone has more detail on the specific case involving Usmanov please add a comment.
I reported back in 2002 or 2003 in an Ambassadorial top secret telegram to the Foreign Office that Usmanov was the most likely favoured successor of President Karimov as totalitarian leader of Uzbekistan. I also outlined the Gazprom deal (before it happened) and the present by Usmanov to Putin (though in Jastrzebski’s name) of half of Mapobank, a Russian commercial bank owned by Usmanov. I will never forget the priceless reply from our Embassy in Moscow. They said that they had never even heard of Alisher Usmanov, and that Jastrzebski was a jolly nice friend of the Ambassador who would never do anything crooked.
Sadly, I expect the football authorities will be as purblind. Football now is about nothing but money, and even Arsenal supporters – as tight-knit and homespun a football community as any – can be heard saying they don’t care where the money comes from as long as they can compete with Chelsea.
I fear that is very wrong. Letting as diseased a figure as Alisher Usmanov into your club can only do harm in the long term."
" I couldn't give a shit about our "financial model" I just want to get back to winning ways. "
Thats the attitude the bankers had when selling those sub prime investments - thats the same attitude those boiler room gangs have when selling to their victims - i dont care about morals\integrity its all about the money - sad!
Usmanov is not a fan - he is a investor and will expect to see a return on his investment like any business man - same as kronke but 1 thing is danny fitzman in his death bed chose the one over the other - and i for one still respect what danny fitzman did for the club before he died. so F off usmanov. also people crying about lack of investment - what the fuck is the stadium? how many players have we bought since? the club is trying to be clever with the money they got and not blow it like a lottery winner.
What's sickening is to watch these glory hunters go a whoring after their sugar daddy, willing to trade the soul of the club and possibly the future of it in order to gain some short term gratification.
I'm not naive to think that anyone in business (including the current arsenal board) is squeaky clean but I'd rather self-sustainability than this....whatever being in charge.
I'd rather we stay unique instead of becoming like Chelsea or Man C.
These fools are blinded by their desires and are willing to sell out in order to get what they want...aren't you the same people hoping Van Persie would break the mould and repay the clubs loyalty rather than leave for his own desires...remind me again why you same people have beef with Nasri?
there are a lot of things more important than winning and money, and doing things the right way is one of them, having some morals, having some ethics and not sinking to the depths of the likes of others
I have read Usmanov's letter, it is a weak attempt to destabilise the current owner and board
It is very transparent and highly disingenuous
It is a great example of precisely why this piece of vermin should be kept well out of Arsenal
usmanov has our great club in is heart and will take us forward, thats why david dien backed him and thats why im backing him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you joking ? Kroenke sells Fabgreas and Nasri last year and now Van Persie and you tell the one person who has ambition to fuck off ? You need to reassess where your priorities lie...
I think your message is more suited for Kroenke & the Board. Over the past few years, there have been too many facts for me to ignore, that clearly puts me off with our present Board & Stan Kroenke. Usmanov never declare that he will turn AFC into a club like MCity or Chelsea. All he said was he would spent enough to create a well mixture of mature, quality signings to support the younger players we already have.
Meanwhile, it’s a no brainer that the present Board is more interested in making profit for the shareholders at the expense of the club. For quite a few years now we are witnessing selling of star players and replacing them with unknown and very young players and keeping the excess cash instead of balancing the team with adequate quality players while grooming the younger players. Wenger has on many occasions hinted about his desire to bring mature & quality players but in most instances he lost out to practically any team that challenged us in bidding for the same players. What a shame for us to admit that Arsenal is indeed known as a selling club. I can quote many instances where a player was first discovered by Wenger & his scouts only to lose out to other teams the moment they knew that Wenger is talking to the player. Stan Kroenke has remain silence all these while simply because he was happy that the Board keeps on making money by being a selling club. He invest in Arsenal for the money as he is known to be making money from sports industry.
To top it all, ticket prices were increased and more money were squeezed out of the loyal fans. Really, I’m disgusted at the way the Board is taking the fans for a ride. Continue to hate Usmanov and let Kroenke and the Board suck our blood dry. My apology but I’ll not be that stupid to let it happen to me and all me fellow gooners.
Check out this article. Basically what is happening right now. Stan using funds from the club to pay off his loan used to buy the shares for takeover. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/apr/11/stan-kroenke-arsenal-glazer-united
I even found a post on ESPN where he denied that any debt leveraged against the club would be used in the takeover.
AFC Fans Divided.... this was always going to happen. Seem like the majority of Fans want the Big Uzbek in power.... As a season ticket holder.... the 6% incrtease last year... the fact we keep selling our star players, the fact we dont replace quality with quality... Viera was better than Song, Fabregas better than Arteta, Henry better than Chamakh, Pires better than Arshavin etc etc..... Guys wake up.... to compete we need the big riches... we are finically stable anyway.... now is the time to launch an assult on the world and become great once again.... WE WILL ALWAYS HOLD OR VALUES AS A CLUB, ALWAYS BE RUN EFFICENTLY ITS WHAT WE DO..... A LITTLE BIT OF EXTRA CASH TO BOOST TRANFERS, SIGN MARQUEE PLAYERS AND WIN TROPHIES IS WHAT WE ARE CRYING OUT FOR.... 1 THING IS FOR SURE.... WE WILL ALWAYS BE ARSENAL FC.
I am now sick of havign to defend my club in social banter for the same reason, tired fo being the laughing stock of english football.
I WANT THE GLORY DAYS BACK AND GLORY/TROPHIES/MARQUEE PLAYERS = ALISHER USMANOV
Let's get one thing straight, there is absolutely no evidence that Kroenke has taken money out of arsenal, or any other sports franchise he owns.
If you want to learn about his ideas read the article on him in the telegraph from last November (just search Kroenke glazers arsenal. Can't paste text on this site using iPhone!)
There is something special about arsenal, and it's because we do things 'the arsenal way'. If you don't understand or believe in that then you can never be a gooner, just somebody that watches the arsenal.
Think you could change the title to something else besides "from the fans" because this is not how most Arsenal fans feel...he may be a crook, but so is basically every single other person in his position in the world, it's all dirty money in the end...I doubt Kroenke is completely clean on his past.
Also, he doesn't love the cluh? He's a season ticket holder...he comes to games, he wants to bring in new players and wants Arsenal winning things.
It should be the 'fans with more than half a brain cell'
I have to say there are lot of uneducated idiots who are very happy to trust Usmanov despite being incredibly ignorant about him and what he has done
His letter shows a lot, as one of my close mates said to me earlier, it is opportunistic, badly worded and if he cannot articulate himself better than this then we should not want him close to our club, whatever his character or past
So when one includes the whole lot, a barge pole is needed in handling Usmanov
I don't think the Arsenal fans who want Usmanov in would be able to mobilise themselves to bring the change about. I just don't see people who are that poorly informed being able to organise a movement to bring him in.
Two further points:
- I'd love someone to tell me why Dein will bring success back to Arsenal. Just because he was at Arsenal when we were successful does not mean that he will bring success back the club. The two aren't causally linked. Dein didn't had to deal with the power of limitless oil money. Let's not forget that's what this is about.
- Why do you trust Usmanov? Because he is the most obvious choice? This man launched a campaign to shut up bloggers around the world from even mentioning his past. Bullying ordinary men and women like we are all from expressing our views by manipulating the legal system with his financial clout. We are talking small bloggers being targeted and threatened with legal action by global firms
Do some research. This man is against free speech. Please I implore all Arsenal fans advocating this change to at least do some reading, open your mind. You might not support Kroenke but that does not mean you have to support this man.
What many fans miss in the kroenke Usmanov schism are the issues raised (dspite the hidden agendas).
The question raised is how valid is the "self-sustainable" model. for self -sustained read "paid for by fans but owned by a few".
ask yourselves the following questions.
Q1. Can major share holder unilaterally dispose of the arsenal any time he wishes? (such as sell off the assets of the club for non-footballing reasons - do not ask if it is sensible to do so but can that be done?)
Q2. if the answer is yes, who or what could stop him/it?
Q3. If the answer to 1. is yes what did the previous directors do to ensure that a Arsenal were not left at the mercy of single entity/perosn?
Q4. The stadium building has been at the expense of team building. All funded through the fans (ticket sales, merchandising, services), tv revenues and trade deals - how much of the stadium and players contracts are owned by the fans? (see what happended to players contracts at glasgow rangers due to owner mismanagement).
Q5. If the directors were such Arsenal fanatics, when the sold their shares what percentage, 100%, 90%, 80%, ...., 30%, 20%, 10%, 0% of the multimillions did they keep and what percentage did they put towards the club?
Q6. Who says that a sustainable model for club financing cannot include one-off donations from "owners"? Why is it that self-sustaining must mean no owner financing whatsoever?
Q7. why were the directors so insistent about not raising shares to help fund the stadium building? (Please bear in mind that raising money through shares would have come out of shareholders pockets through donation of shares to the club they all profess to love).
The answers might prove very unpalatable to fellow gooners.

why? Thought he wanted to spend some money?
We love you Double D
Crikey, are you Hill-Wood in disguise?!!
That's from you.....I would love to have him a Dein....Dein loves the club.....Kroenke and Gazidis dont
Please you are joking!!!!! He would be the best thing for Arsenal. Everything he has said is completely right, I agree 100% with him.
Excuse me? Dein loves the Club? Dein who wanted us to emigrate to Wembley? Dein who sold his shares to Usmanov? Fuckov!
ps anyone backing Usmanov is clearly rather ignorant of what this man has done and what type of man he is
have a little read about him, his friends and Uzbekistan, then come back to be when you have educated yourself
if you still feel this man should be involved in Arsenal FC then I would argue that you are a rather despicable form of human being

Wow you have totally misread the fans perspective.
That may be your thoughts, and eloquent they are too, but there are 50% at least who think that should be the message to Kroenke,
Like you believe everything you read, we have listened to lie after lie from the current board, wake up arsenal fans...

It's painful - Usmanov writes a letter where he explains nothing about his vision and deluded fans lap it up.
Arsenal represents everything that Usmanov isn't. I don't want that crook Usmanov anywhere near the club.

There are no saints in this world so please shut up with these allegations about the man.
There is no fairness in this premier league so trying to play fair and hope FIFA help us with thier FF is a mugs game.
Arsenal have become the Ned Stark of the Premiership, trying to play fair when everyone is playing dirty.
To the ignorant deluded fool who can post nothing but abuse
You describe Usmanov as a man with 'ambition'
This is true.
He is so ambitious in pursuing wealth for himself that he will do anything at all to get it.
This includes crime, bribery, dishonesty and amoralilty.
I would rather give up on football than see this pond life at our club.

There is nothing in that link
The Glazer to Kroenke comparison is not fair either, Kroenke has simply not done what the Glazers have done to Manu.
http://soccerlens.com/why-kroenke-doesnt-need-arsenal-money-for-takeover/68611/
The debt we are paying off is related to the move from Highbury to the Emirates, it is not from Kroenke taking millions out.
Just plain factually wrong.
BOARD OUT!!!!
PROTESTS WILL BE MADE

tells you what Arsenal thinks about free speech. you are only a "True fan" if u agree with them.
i dont even care if you delete this comment because the more comments you delete the more obvious it becomes that most fans agree with usmanov.
Rather Red and White run the club than, buying expensive tickets so Kronke can continue to pocket the money...
He's a season ticket holder...he comes to games, he wants to bring in new players and wants Arsenal winning things.

good point
