Arsenl.com has reported that Eduardo has undergone further ankle surgery on the same ankle that he injured last season against Birmingham. Given that the media are trying to whip this story up into something that it is not, I thought I should post a bit more detail on this. Do not believe the spin in papers like the Sun, this is not a 'new injury'.
As I have expertise in this area I can say that this surgery is virtually guaranteed to be the routine removal of his ankle metalwork, meaning it is not anything at all of concern, it is definitely not a 'new injury'. Given that he was injured anyway, it was obviously a sensible time to get this routine work done, there is minimal risk associated with this surgery and given his excellent recovery from the serious injury in the first place this will not further limit his recovery.

I find the Sun's reference to a footballer who suffered horrific injury through another professional's butchery as a "serial crock" particularly insulting.
Indeed. They are scum, they can't even be bothered to find out the actual facts before they start spinning their propaganda.
'serial crock' is well below the belt for a guy who has done well to even play football following such a terrible injury.
hopefully eddy can come back and stick it up their dishoenst arseholes.
Good luck Eduardo.
thanks for the update.
hopefully Eduardo will have a completely healthy year. fingers crossed, he should get 15-20 goals next year.

I've just seen reported in the Daily Mail that the FA has cleared Fabregas of all charges.
