Hull Highlights

Just quickly to let people know that you can watch the highlights of the Hull game, and all the other Premiership games at the Virgin site. I do kind of resent linking to something owned by the evil Bearded one, however the balance of good means that a few Gooners will be made happier, so I think it's just about worth it.

Not wanting to tempt fate but it appears that a certain Russian is rather close to moving to the Emirates. We really do have an abundance of attacking players at the club at the moment with a fit RVP, Ade, Bendtner, Simpson on loan at WBA, Vela, Walcott to return from injury shortly, Nasri hitting fine form, as well as any extras on top of this. I guess we won't need to worry about clean sheets with this many goals in the side!

Have to admit I am having second thoughts about Arshavin this morning. You can add Rosicky and Eduardo to your list of attacking players, perhaps along with Fabregas and Wilshere as well. I don't see how we can keep them all happy.

Maybe it has been a Wenger double (or about quadtruple) bluff all along.

Wenger has never signed players we need. He signs a "Wenger" player whenever they're available at a price he can justify.

He wants fast players, who are technically excellent, who can play across the pitch, who are less than 30 years old, who play ball to feet and move off the ball.

Arshavin ticks all thos boxes. Whether he fits or not is not a question for Wenger.

ALso, maybe we will see some younger squad players sold. Diaby has missed his opportunity, Song arguably has as well. I am sure Wenger feels let down by some players this season, and the summer will see us sell again.

Also, never count on Rosicky. Wenger has done for the last season and it has cost him dearly.

I can't see Rosicky playing at a high level again.

Gunnerblog seems to have a bit of potentially insider knowledge on the Arshavin thing.

Given that both Barca and Spurs have tried their hardest and failed to agree deals with Zenit in the past year, my feeling is that we can't do much more. No buying club has met Zenit's asking price, so I don't see why we should.

Right player at the right price must be the key. We do not need to spend £20m just because SPurs think a WIgan player with no Champions League experience or any cups/titles to his name is worth £14m.

Spurs' January spending is now at £30m - at what point does my misunderstanding of their finances become a real reflection of their bankrupcy?
