Sounds like RVP has picked up a bad ankle injury. Huge blow, and fucking typical.
This is terrible news - bloody meaningless friendlies!!!!
terrible terrible. international break stinks. worthless. for everyone.-rahul-
Fucking cunting hell. International friendlies do my head in.
bollocks and scrotum, rvp's injury doesn't sound good, will just depend on how quickly he gets back to training, hard to tell with ankles, a week minimum to 4 weeks i'd guess
Our best offensive player, who's on a major hot streak. A meaningless international friendly -- was it even televised in either of the countries involved? And just 2 weeks before a major League showdown with the team I hate the most. (Even more than Spurs, and if that makes me less of an Arsenal fan in anyone's eyes, I don't care.) With Bendtner also unavailable for that game, and Walcott a big question mark for it.If Bert van Marwijk ever sets foot in the U.S., I'm going to knock him out with a crowbar, tie him up, stick him in my basement, and force him to watch an endless loop of Tottenham games until he apologises for calling van Persie up for this meaningless game, which, now, guess what, has some meaning! He also played Kuyt and Elia as strikers, Huntelaar and Babel listed as substitutes, Robben was already injured... No, it had to be the Arsenal player!Couldn't have gone with a 4-4-2 and left our man on the bench for a meaningless game that only 15,000 saw. And they didn't even win! It was a 0-0 final!Tell me, Bert, was it worth it? You useless schmuck. That's it: Whatever team he manages next, I'm rooting against them every time they play. He needs to be relegated from the human race! (I'm starting to sound like Arseblogger, who amazingly is less angry about this than any of us.)
Uncle Mike said it well. My reaction is unprintable, I'd be thrown off the blog. Ruined my whole weekend. Fury and rage doesn't begin to describe it.
My non-expert assessment of RVP's injury is that having been kicked by a cunt, the ankle needs rest, ice, maybe some paracetemol, bit of ibuprofen, lots of strapping, some elevation where possible,And six weeks supply of Dutch hardcore. You don't need six years at medical school for that one, right doc?
It never rains, etc...BBC News just reported Kieran Gibbs limped out of the 0-0 draw between England U-21s and Lithuania, after just 21 minutes:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/8365400.stm
